What is melamine faced chipboard? (MFC)
Although you may not realise it you are surrounded by melamine faced chipboard! You will find it in almost every fitted kitchen and bedroom. The vast majority of free standing furniture is made from MFC. Melamine faced chipboard is a composite wood, which is made by mixing machined wood chips with a strong resin.
All of the major department stores are fitted out using MFC. It is in schools, hospitals, offices, caravans and canal boats. It is easy to use and looks good too.
Modern production technologies mean that MFC now looks more and more like real wood. Come and see for yourself at Mersey Timber Ltd.
