Testimonials
“Excellent shelving at a really good price”

I wanted some good quality white shelving to wrap around a corner of the room, and buying from the usual High Street stores would've meant cutting them down to size. Mersey MDF were not only considerably better quality, supplied to my precise requirements, but were just the same price - including delivery - as going to HomeWickes and other places. Totally recommended. Would give more than five stars if I could.

“Fantastic service”

Couldn't find black gloss kickboards anywhere until I found these guys. Custom cut and delivered to my door quicker than you could say "fantastic service". Such a straightforward ordering system on the website. Kickboards were perfect. Thank you so much. I will be recommending!

"A breeze to use"

Have used Mersey MDF, Plas & Ply for a few years now and have always been happy with the well made shelves (of many different sizes) together with a good array of different coverings for the shelves to choose from. Their website is a breeze to use as well. The items are always very well packaged for delivery. I wouldn't consider any other company than this one for shelving.

"Excellent and rapid communications"

I was looking for a piece of trim to match my existing kitchen trim. I was able to order 6 sample pieces and then order my required size from the best colour match. This was delivered and it is exactly what is needed to complete the kitchen. Excellent and rapid communications from the company.

"Would recommend"

I was able to replace all the kitchen doors in my airbnb at a great price and it transformed the kitchen. I required an extra piece and someone called me up to help make sure the delivery arrived together. They organised a pallet delivery at no extra cost to ensure nothing went missing in transit and everything arrived on time in good order. I would recommend.

"Highly recommend to others"

Needed to replace my kitchen plinths, found an exact colour match from Mersey MDF after trying and failing to find what I needed from all the big chain DIY stores. Really good quality (making me want to replace the cupboards now too!) Communication was great through every step of the ordering process. Would use this company again and highly recommend to others.

Chipboard screws

Whilst chipboard screws are specifically designed to be used with the likes of MDF, chipboard, particleboard and other composite materials, these self-tapping screws are also perfectly suited for use with soft timbers and some hard woods, with many trades and crafts preferring to use them for all manner of general carpentry and timber work.

Specifically designed to connect one piece of wood to another, unlike regular woodscrews chipboard screws have a long, coarse thread which runs all the way from the tip right up the head providing a particularly high level of hold, stability, and a superior and long-lasting fastening capability. It’s no wonder, therefore, that they’re extremely popular for a whole host of woodworking tasks, from kitchen and bedroom installations right through to bespoke joinery, decking installation, fencing, and beyond.

What’s more, when it comes to installation, working with chipboard screws couldn’t be easier. Thanks to the self-tapping (often referred to as self-drilling) tips, there’s no need to pre-drill a pilot hole. Just hold the screw firmly in place and use your manual or powered screwdriver to drive it into your MDF, chipboard, or whichever other type of soft timber you’ve chosen.

Carcass screws

Specifically designed for use in the construction of furniture carcasses, our range of high-performance, pozidrive carcass screws come in boxes of 500, and are supplied with a black phosphate finish for significantly improved resistance to corrosion.

Extremely popular within the trades and furniture manufacturing sector, they’re the ideal choice for the construction and installation of kitchen units, wardrobes and other bedroom units or cabinets thanks to their impressive levels of grip and hold when working with the likes of MDF, chipboard, and other types of particle board.

Reliable, strong, and easy to install, these self-tapping, countersunk carcass screws have excellent penetration capabilities, whilst their super-sharp point and coarse thread help reduce the chance of bursting.
