MDF sheet (medium density fibreboard) – a strong, mid-weight MDF board for joinery, furniture making, shopfitting and DIY. Ideal for kitchen and wardrobe carcasses, bookcases, shelving, built-in furniture, media units and shopfitting displays.

Available in standard and moisture resistant (MR) grades and a choice of sheet sizes. Every grade offers a smooth, flat surface and a dense, uniform core with no knots or grain, so it cuts, routes and machines cleanly and takes primer and paint exceptionally well. Standard MDF is the go-to choice for interior projects in dry conditions. Moisture resistant MDF is made with moisture-resistant resins for kitchens, bathrooms and other humid rooms, and is commonly identifiable by its green-tinted core.

Use a fine-toothed blade for clean cuts, wear suitable dust protection when cutting or sanding, and seal edges before painting for the smoothest finish.
